I have downloaded a corrupted file, how can I fix this?

Repairing Instructions:
1. Right click the corrupted file
2. select OPEN
3. choose the folder/file then Right click
4. choose REPAIR ARCHIVE
5. a pop up will apprear where to put the file & archive type (rar or zip)
then click OK
6. look for the "rebuilt" archive file
7. Extract the file
